I was fortunate to play this game on a high end PC with 3090 so the graphics were all at max and rarely dropped below 60 fps full ray traced psycho. Graphics astounding Gameplay good but can become better with tuning and patches Glitches and bugs many even after 2-3 patches but will all be fixed as was shown in all previous games. Storyline pretty poor, main game length awful. Near the end of the game I was not invested in any of the characters even my own (apart from maybe Judy and Misty). When I finished Witcher games I immediately started a new game; not this game though. I found it a chore near the end. I was so looking forward to this game but it really disappointed me. I would recommend it if you just want a game to play but its very unpolished not like a CD Projekt Red game more like a GTA game (Rockstar), maybe thats the route they wish to take but if so they can count me out (even though I have been here at Good Old Games for oover 10 years). The game story line is basic it would need to be filled out with many expansions to be fulfilling. It lacks depth and backstory. It concentrates on main character and IMO the boring acting of Keanu Reeves (Johnny) who is not engaging and poorly acted. Most characters are superbly acted as always in CDPR games. For me the first person was a game breaker I thought IMO the first person was not necessary for immersion and thought it was only interesting when I could at least see my character on bikes etc, sad really. Would I be so hyped for a future CDPR product? Probably as they delivered up till this game, but this IMO was a very average offering and CDPR is not ever average.
The company are a complete joke Took backers money (Mine) Released the game to non backers on Steam before us the true backers I would never back this company ever again they are scum Promised a lot delivered very little Only in it to scrape as much start up cash as possible constant delays purey for money not to fix bugs (bugs that litter the game) Looks, plays nothing like the promised game Love GOG sadly this company rate slightly above EA basically the flies on EA
It would be better to release the game vanilla so people can patch it with the mod of their choice. GOG could just point people in the direction of moddb.com/games/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines As mentioned the two major patches by the community are on the whole incompatible so its really which one you like. I like Wesp5 patches and his work but vanilla would allow us to have a clean copy to patch in anyway we like. I understand GOG did this to save people the hassle but it is easy to patch with community patches and removing the DRM is more than enough. I bought this game about 3 times once at launch so I know how badly bugged it was at launch. Anyway super game definitely worth a buy in the current GOG state but if they release it vanilla I'll buy it again as my old vanilla disks don't work anymore :)
Excellent game hopefully some very minor flaws have been fixed knowing Gog they will have used all patches and fixes. Easily the best music score in any game I have played including all gamesup to 2012. Super story line. Great graphics for the time. Used to have big memory holes as most games of the time did that used the swap file process rather that memory. Lots of possible ways of completing quests which I really liked. In the past have replayed it almost as many times as the first Fallout Games. Super game missed by most people. Belgian developers no longer msking games which is a shame. I loved this game
