Hellslave

Joli petit roguelite

Book of Demons

Nice and original hack & slash

Lots of things are pretty new and original in this hack & slash (apart from the design itself) - the use of 'cards' instead of the classic equipment/inventory : they grant more power, protection, shield, potions, etc. but you have to deal with the total number of cards you can take with you. - as you go deeper in the catacombs, you can choose when you play how many 'levels' you want to go down : this way you can only play for 10min or one hour depending on your time. Anyway, this is a hack and slash : click and kill beasts :). And as you have to play with 'cards', do not expect to manage an inventory of hundreds of looted equipment. On the negative side, i can tell that as your path is 'locked' alongside the corridor, your character moves by itself without stopping (or if you click on an ennemy or behind you to go back), and it cannot move elsewhere : you are not really 'free' of your movement. It is quite annoying and difficult to apprehend at the beginning and you're often surrounded with lots of ennemies without any chance to escape. I only play for a few hours, but i like it. Not tested the 'roguelike/permadeath' mode though.

What Remains of Edith Finch

Sublime

Technobabylon

Brilliant sci-fi story

A brilliant and intelligent scenario, a curious but not so utopic future which relates on our contemporary stakes (the net, AI, corporations ruling the world, etc.) The game lets you play different characters in different periods of time, which can be a bit confusing at the beginning, but emphasize the links between them when the story develops. A great game for adventure, 8-bits, and point-and-click lovers. Not so difficult, quite easy and linear, but the story is just amazing.
