When I saw portraits of Poe and Lovecraft on the walls in Chapter 1, I knew it was going to be a real gem. And I was right. Really well-made horror with a mystery and time-travelling (not literally, but figuratively), and lots of small interesting details.
No idea why people are so crazy about this game, there was such a hype. Controls design is really bad, so that you spend more time thinking about HOW to move the mouse to get what you want rather than on an actual game objective. There are much better games in point-and-click genre than this one.
Such a good game, I am absorbed!
So overestimated. Dull and uninteresting game. When I spend more time sorting my inventory than exploring, I consider a game a huge fail. I don't know why people say it's classic, it's just really not good.
