This is a pitch perfect atmospheric RPG that perfectly straddles the line between retro and modern. It really nails the vibe it is going for - artwork, writing, worldbuilding, design, music are all excellent. It's creative and interesting in ways many modern RPGs lack and manages to be a huge breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.
This is an excellent folk-horror point and click adventure that is well scripted, charming, unsettling and interesting. Pacing is good with puzzles being fairly easy but allowing for the story to flow. Will definitely scratch a folk horror itch. Art is good, if a little rough around the edges, but has a sort of lo-fi uncanny valley charm to it that actually enhances the experience. Addition of developer commentary is also fantastic. Well worth a look.
The concept and presentation of Firewatch is superb. The dialogue is well written, but unfortunately the plot isn't - and that's what turned a potentially amazing game into something mediocre. It's still worth playing though because the moments of brilliance are brilliant.
