Cyberpunk 2077

Its a good shooter

but not an Roleplaying Game. Its now on paar with story driven Shooters like Farcry. Its basicly Cybercry now.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

2.0 made it finally to what it really is

a Looter Shooter with a nice Story. If you expect an Roleplaying Game get Baldurs Gate 3 instead.

Baldur's Gate 3

I wish OWLCat

would have done BG3, not Larian. Then we could have at least a choice between watching paint dry aka roundbase and rt/wp. 3 Stars because it looks stunning, and I like everything else but I cant get over the main game mechanic.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition

lets add some drm 4 years after why not

Still no Linux Version, still no Realtime with Pause, still mindblowing slow real time combat with even the lousiest trash mobs. Did someone in your team enjoy sailing or why every game of yours start on a ship? Larian please give BG3 aka Divinity Original Sin 3 to Owlcat or Obsidian. Two stars because the iPad Version is very impressive from a technical point, that is a great job!!!

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

Just 2 Month after Kingmaker

I am able to play already the second Pathfinder. So my memory is very recent and I compare it to Kingmaker. (Of course I have not finished Wrath of the Righteous yet) the good: + RTWP !!! + RoundBased (Hello BG3 and Larian, look here how its done right) + graphics are improved and the mood is awesome + Sound and Music one of its kind, absolute perfect and it gets better after Act 1 + runs for an rpg very good on a mid - low system (Ryzen3600x+1060+32GBRam, 2k, everything on high) (also Macbook Pro M1 16GB Ram-> Full HD everything on high) + no bugs no crashes after 28hours on both systems + very polished game for its insane complexty + Story took a while to catch me, I liked the Kingmaker campaign a lot more to be honest at least until now + Pets and Horses and very diverse NPCs (I think thats a big plus) + One Quest in general when you come to Drizen is probably the best I have seen in any RPG, congrats Devs that really was an EPIC ride. + Voice Acting top notch + difficutly settings straight from heaven, you can customize everything + Heros of Might and Magic Mode so the Kingdome Management is less frustrating the medium: - camera rotation can be quite a task (and not a fun one) - some weather effects specially the Bilzzards are over the top (you dont see anything anymore) - to much classes and arche type classes (I dont think thats a plus) - not enough character styles, only 3 - 4 choices for head, hairstyle etc - the mounts are to big very often (I think thats an unity engine problem) - I liked the companions much more in Kingmaker, the idea with Linzy writing the story was fabolous (even lots of people did not like her) the negativ: * nothing really, no game breaking bugs so far for me * no crashes just the Macbook Pro gets super hot very fast * its not complete voiced wich I find sad because, what is voiced is really great Its in my opinion the best RPG Game at the Moment after Kingmaker, wich is not bad ;)

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition

Best RPG since Bards Tale 1

I think at this point soon before the release of the second Pathfinder, I can say that this Game has it all. Great epic story, stunning visuals, best UIX Design I have seen in a while, attention to detail and the best thing for me: a management simulation of your own kingdome. Oh what a joy. I never played Baldurs Gate back in the days, the only CRPG style game I played before this is Pillars of Eternity1+2 and Tyranny wich I absolute love, and Divinity Orignal Sin wich I wanted to love but hated the super slow turn based combat, so I never got into it really. Here you have both wich I think is fair for the people who like either of them. Can't wait for September and play the prequel to this masterpiece. I would choose this over Baldurs Gate 3 any time of the week, yes guys its really that good. I had almost zero issues with bugs or anything, it still gets updates wich speaks a lot about the devs. Only thing I had is that the sound sometimes glich out.

Northgard

A true Indy gem

First, if you like a mix of Settler, Civilization, Warcraft3 and Age of Empire then don't read further and just buy it. On sale its a no brainer. For the DLC, well depends if you like multiplayer and skirmish then buy them, they do nothing to the single player campaign. I play on an older system, FX8320e, Nvidia 1060, 16GB Ram, Windows 10 on a 4K display and its mostly a smooth gaming experience I had zero crashes during the single player campaign. German translation of the text is very good, so I suppose its the same with the other supported languages. (Voice is English during the small cut scenes with subtitles) Pro's: - very nice setting, well if you like Vikings you will love it - story is very well written - art-style and graphics kinda cartoonish but fits very well - attention to detail to the max - very nice mix of various game mechanics, like in Warcraft 3 the hero unit gives several bonuses and each plays a bit different, I simply love it - for me very important, the UI and UX Design looks super polished and very well thought out - you just feel its made by gamenerds - the price, it took me now almost 20 hour to finish the single player campaign, its a steal on sale! - music and sound are also quite a fit - linux version = instant buy (btw: Please GOG give us Galaxy for Linux!!) - Multiplayer LAN MODE! (play it with your pals like its 1999 again) Cons: - the DLCS are a kinda pricey , I just bought them in hope to get a Northgard 2 - the fighting system can sometimes be a bit annoying, you need a lot of micromanagement for it in later missions of the campaign - on the second difficulty level some missions can become trial and error What I hope for a Northgard 2? A kinda rework of the unit system when fighting, I dont know exactly how to do it, but maybe a more classic approach like build them inside the armory and not send workers to convert into it would be cool. More cinematic and a campaign with all War Chiefs Just go wololo it ;)

DUSK

Glorious 90s Level Design!

The game is plain awesome. Quake + Blood feeling at once. Its fast and runs on Mac, Linux and Windows. (I tried all three Versions, even on my Macbook Pro its more then playable and yes its 64Bit for all Catalina Users out there.) Graphics are great, with a cool matching art style. Well either you like it or not, I like it. Sound is the best in a Computer Game for the last 15 years in my opinion. Alone for the Soundtrack I would get it. Level design well thought out, like any 90s fps shooter. Something I miss in modern shooters these days. They are to much focused on useless skins or emotes or pointless weapon updates. For the price I would say its a no brainer. Like some here mentioned a Coop Multiplayer would be the icing on the cake.
