Classic but still crave the original

I dont know, I still miss the old style graphics of the first myst. Sure, its easier to see around the island, and its cool to see the actual ship rise out of the water as you complete the puzzle but there is still that nostalgic feeling of the old game. They took the liberty of re recording some of rand miller's dialogue for this version and honestly I think it sounds worse than the original. Still though, if you're a fan of the series its worth picking up for 5 bucks.

Hasnt aged well

Compared to other RPG's of the era (baldurs gate for ex.) BaK hasnt aged well. I just couldnt get into the first person gameplay or the fact that you have to rest so much and constantly go back to town for supplies after just a few fights. Its definatly a hard core game. I'm not lying, its pretty hard at first and I'm used to games giving you some leeway early on then getting harder as you get up in levels but this game cuts all the crap and sends you head first into some shit. I really wanted to like it though, playing it mutliple times but the gameplay isnt my style. I'm more of a baldurs gate type of rpg fan. I like to get xp and distribute it amongst skills but this doenst do that. It seems like you level up whenever the game thinks you've won the right amount of fights. I think BaK fared better in the early 90's when the market didnt have as many rpg's as it does now.
