The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

you're kidding me

I bought my computer this year and because the system requirements were not met I couldn't even play the game. ??!! It took 9 hours to download and install and now it won't play because this brand new computer cannot handle a game made over 5 years ago? I'm pissed and this game is getting a crappy review strictly because they couldn't make it with lower requirements.

Planescape: Torment

I Must Say

Having thoroughly enjoyed Baldur's Gate and after reading much (very many good things) about Planescape I thought I'd try it out. I honestly thought I would like it a lot more than I did. After giving it a few chances, giving it several hours of game time, the main point of why I was turned off by it was the depth of the characters and storyline. I enjoy a good storyline and creating interesting characters in role-playing games is essential, but this was taken to the point where I'd rather just read a book than play through this game. There IS enough text in this game to compile a series of books. After reading many game reviews I find that the most honest (and helpful ones) are those that give the strengths AND weaknesses of the game, so the reader can know what he/she is purchasing. If I had known that there was books worth of text, I may have avoided it all together. So.. at least one of Planescape's strengths (I think its strongest point) is a unique story and character development. If your cup of tea is a book disguised as a video game, then this game is for you. Other than that be weary and do your research... (uhhgg more reading)!!
