I played the HoMM Series from the beginning and switched to Linux lately. Just open the gog-installer with wine and it installs like a charm. Patch it with Fan-Patch 5.5 and enjoy one of the best HoMM Titles :)
If you want to experience this true TBS Masterpiece, just do the following: 1. install Heroes 3 Complete from GOG 2. forget about WoG (Wake of Gods, a former Fan Mod) 3. install Heroes 3 Ultimate Edition (it includes WoG+a TON extra features and fixes) (google: heroes 3 ultimate, change language to english) 4. Enjoy the next 15 years of Fantasy TBS with Heroes 3 Ultimate Edition 'nough said! :)
