Game which makes us play with very limited amout of save games should be pretty much bug free, but in my case the game crashes evry hour or two. Until now I've lost nearly half of my gameplay. Some other irritating bugs like I'm being treated as a trespasser in a place where I've bought permanent room which makes me a criminal there every time I'm visiting it. Controls are just frustrating. I can only assume the game was designed for consoles and someone mapped all the functionalities with some key combinations requiring third hand. A lot of fighting is not really explained, it's clicking and hoping for the best, probably again this system makes some sense on console controllers, but not with a mouse and a keyboard. I'm really sorry to say that, but for now KD2 is a big disapointment :(
Inertia is caricatural, I'd sooner call it ragdoll physics - writing it after hundreds hours in Kerbals including hours spent on docking in space. Sometimes engines insist on firing at full power in randomly choosen direction (and no, no target object has been choosen), same for ship's rotation - I completely stop and ship starts to franticly rotate around own axis. Barely any tutorial and no mechanics explanation at all. Generally a lot of (rather plesant) grind, but what gets on your nerves is having no idea how can you progress & random irrational ship behaviors that are wasting last hour or two of progress.
Great dark & sinister vibe is the biggest positive here. Many boring side qests where you're told exacltly what to do - no place for thinking. Some of the deductions are not logical, you have to guess the right one (some choices are equaly credible in my opinion, but only one gets accepted). Gameplay too often is walking from one cut scene to another, where characters explain all the details and say what you have to do next. In some puzzles you're not provided with clues as to what the solution should be (e.g. you have to guess in what order digits shall be put). Some bugs to be found - game completely crashed 2 times and sometimes I was loosing possibility to save a game until game restart. And just a little nuisance - you cannot use game saves after changing game language (saves are not lost, can use them when language is switched back).
This game has nothing to do with Commandos series, where it was possible to eliminate every single enemy with a punch, not a SINGLE kill. Here you have to threat all your characters as tanks - it's like shooting all the enemies with pistol behind a corner in Commandos series. Just a crappy, pathetic clone :(
Game's just great, but game dialog boxes (e.g. save or exit game) rendered all in white make it almost unplayable (there are key combinations, but you still have to guess what are you getting asked about), game start window opening under other already opened windows is iritating too.
This game tried to be many thins at one time and did nothing well. Adventure? Mostly strightforward or not really logical puzzles. Last third of the game is more like walking between cutscenes. RPG? Boring "collect that, to get this" quests to be done without any kind of a map. Dialogs lead to the same end, no matter what you choose to say. Action? Camera work and controls are rough in open areas, but in closed areas it is just minblowingly horrible!!!!! Getting stuck on obstacles less than a foot does not help here either. Other than that? Every attempt to set up pad ended up in hanging game. I can see only two pros of this game, it's graphics and the story. All in all I see it as an irritating sequel that wasted a great story.
