Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

A rejuvenating take on CRPG

It's a strange thing an Indie dev acomplished what Larian did with Divinity series that a big developer hasn't dreamed ever. It's another example of succesful indie working over AAA companies. Something only accomplished by games like Stardew Valley, Shovel Knight, Factorio, etc, that gives you hope that, besides what people think is the most popular take on RPGs or the most profitable for the industry, there will always be somebody who is going to give a sincere, personal, little piece of pure entertainment and not a fast-fooding videogame product with the only sight of making money. In fact, Divinity Original Sin, it's not something really special. Its plot it's rather simple and, sometimes, nonsensical, it has a really good setting and music but it's not better than Black Isle or Sierra works, it has some obvious conception mistakes and annoying flaws in its combat system and graphically, it's not a step forward in the genre, certainly. It's just... fun, full of hilarious comments and conversations, challenging, good paced and abundant of little playable tweaks that make it very unique. A very cohesive and round title that makes you, sometimes, smile, sometimes, anger and forever keep on playing until you have finsihed it. I'm really glad that something like this exists in my library of games because it's a part of the modern history of RPGs and inde gaming developing and, I guess, that also makes it a very little part of gaming history as a whole.

Batman - The Telltale Series

Good, sweet vision of Gotham

It's very true that the technical problems this game has are inexcusable and extremely annoying but, as a DC fan, having something new to read or play feels great and the depiction of he Batman universe on this game doesn't dissapoint. So, in the end, my overall review of this game is more sweet than bitter. As in all Telltale games, this one is a cinematic experience with sparce touches of point-and-clic gameplay where decisions shape the next scenes and some of the secondary storylines of the game. The final resut hardly varies but it's OK to have some replayability, anyway. The story of the game is settled on an alternate universe of the character where Bruce Wayne has more prominency than Batman and where the most known villains or allies of the superhero have got another interests, portrayals or backgrounds. I really like alternatives universes like Batman Arkham, newer films or Injustice but I'm also aware than people wouldn't care to know more about the comics to perceive the little touches and changes that makes those and this versions great. It would be good, one day, to have a real Batman story made into a game. Until then, quality adaptations like this one are welcome. Recommended for comic or Batman fans or those who haven't got tired by Telltale games until now.

Two Worlds Epic Edition

FPS drops, input lag, crashes...

... Sound freezing Online key activation s**** Object detection issues ... Just... don't buy this game. I heard there are better ones but I can't possibly imagine how a person could say that when the game, basically, don't work at all. Crossing fingers to get a refund. This is the first time I buy something on GoG and have a feeling of being swindled.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky

Neither for the combat, nor for the plot

I'm really struggling with this game and his f*** up difficulty. It's already tiring of having games that let's you choose "Normal" difficulties that are piece of cake and "Hard" difficulties that makes the game unbearable hard. Maybe it's not a game to focus on the combat but, why adding a difficulty selection, then? I got bored of the game in both difficulties and left it after a while. Otherwise, the plot is rather empty, at least for the first 20 hours that I have played. Characters are likeable and less generic than in other JRPGs. If you really like them and can stand the slow-paced narrative and the huge amount of unsubstancial or depressing combats (depending on your difficulty setting) that occur during the playthrough, you'll surely buy the SC because the game has its charm.
