I loved the first game but they manage to ruin everything. The graphics are so horrible that I cant find my buildings unless I zoom in all the way or click randomly. The buildings function in a different way that the original - and that's not a good, the resource balancing is not as fun. Multiple settlements seem like a cool idea, except that the transporttion routes are really dumb and require at least one vehicle. They also don't adapt very well to the resource needs and therefore require a lot of micromanagement. Combat makes no sense and it iz just annoying with no rewards. I have to stop playing.
