Great concept but not enough. This game really isn't completed.
For its time it's Perhaps THE best FPS game around. The wolfenstein series and Doom or Heretic Don't come close. The only game that was around then that did come close was Rise Of the Triad. Still, it was awesome. I deeply regret that They didn't make another Blake Stone game in the spirit of Doom and ROTT. Sad.
I played this at a friends house. It was buggy and didn't work the way it did. Too bad This has promise Anyway I can see why the Police in My former hometown (NYC) tend to be grumpy and a bit psychotic at times. Its kinda like a cross between Police Quest 1 2 3 & 4, Papers Please, LA vICE (?) AND a couple of old c64 games I can't remember. But it needs work. Other than that this is fine.
It may need some tweeking but its good to see Good ol Julian Gollop back at it pioneering turn based strategy games! His works never get old!! This is no exception. It may need a bit of polishing and updating though but okay! This is fine!!
Its like spacerogue and FTL only done right!
Dear GOG! Please keep up the good work and make more expansions for this game available!
If you're using 64 bits or a new computer don't buy it. Wait for this game to get fixed.

This along with part 4 are probably the best one. It never gets old. Here's hoping for a newer version of HOMM for our time. Great game!
This is possibly one of the best war games ever made. It is certainly in my opinion the best war game ever made about the antiquity and Bronze age. 20 years on its still the best! Not only can you reenact historic battles that are portrayed accurately, you can change the attributes and variables and change history!
