Kingdom Come: Deliverance

a move in the right direction

Just finished the game, and loved it. There was bugginess, and sometimes you had to fight the game to make it work, but all of its problems are miniscule conpared to its strong points. I played in hardcore mode so maybe some of these don't apply to base game, vut here are some things the game dies right; *Open world that you truly learn to travel, and quests that rely you on asking directions from npc rather than just following a minimap. *Quests and encounters with multiple ways to tackle them. For example at the start of the game when I was tasked at killing a camp of bandits I couldnt dream of killing them head on, but leveling a little stealth, waiting for night and clever use of poison I could manage. *Combat and skills that arent just snashing buttons or clicking throigh menus. You have to block and time your attacks and if you want to brew potions or sharpen your weapon, you actually have to find a station and do it step by step, with much trial and error at the start. The greatest detriment of the game is the general bugginess and perhaps optimization problems, but as I have said before that hardly matters in the large scheme of things. I truly believe that this game is a step in the right direction in a sea of dull, hand holdy, uninspired gammes, and I cant wait what more these guys have in store for us!
