The first was clunk but I think it has better RPG elements than this one. This one is more of a straight forward action adventure game, with some "RPG" elements. Don't expect a small version of "Witcher 3," this sequel has 3 stages, and then an ending. You don't get to run around a big world or things like that. Each chapter is its own area, once you finish you move to the next, and then the game ends. Still a good game, and combat is way way better than the first, but the first felt like a better RPG in my opinion.
On one hand this does give you some nice background to things to come in the later Witcher games, and meeting these characters early on is great for the emotional payoff in Witcher 3, but on the other hand the gameplay itself is not very good. The combat is kinda bad, and you spend most of the game in this one city just running around. Lastly they reuse the same character models over and over and over, and I mean they use the same models for important storybased characters, and for NPS walking around. Anyways, I still like this game, played it back in 2012 and yea. I like it, but for today's gamers, not sure you will dig the combat.
