Terminator: Resistance

Ignore game journalists. Ask the players

"When developers actually seem to care about what they're doing with a licensed property, maybe encourage them a bit" - Civvie 11 No game is perfect but it brought me to the world James Cameron built and even after 100% I didn't want to leave. The developer knowledge of the first two movies is so good, so spot on, that no movie after Judgment Day can touch it. Oh and it's a good game too? Graphics could of been better but that is it and it's more a case of the developers didn't have the time or money to do facial mocap. T800s are so well rendered that it brought me back to being 4 years old in 1989 and watching the T800 rise out of wreckage of a tanker completely on fire and me soiling my pants. Stop reading game journalists and trust your fellow gamer on this one. Buy it. DLC too. It's a love letter to the first movie.

Alien: Isolation

These one star reviews are laughable.

Is it perfect? No. But the creator absolutely poured their hearts into this game. Gameplay is solid. It's only sin is that it can be tedious with the button combinations just to unlock a door. Besides that, the level of detail and love for the first Alien movie is absolutely amazing. They even got Blade Runner easter eggs. When IGN and friends give a game like this and Terminator Resistance lower scores than Fallout 76 or the latest woke corporate puke that the game industry loves to shove down our throats, you know that game journalism is dead. Civvie 11 had a perfect quote about game journalism's treatment of developers that actually making games they care about, especially with licenses, and I'll close with it.
