Primordia

Amazing story, beautifully told

What an incredible journey. Primordia is a fantastic point and click adventure in the style of old, but with its own sense of originality. Set in a grimy post-human world populated by mans remaining robot creations, you take the role of Horatio (And sometimes his wise-cracking sidekick, Crispin) as they are trying to repair their ship, the Uniic. As events unfold, you are set on the path across a gloriously created wasteland, full of interesting and unusual characters, before ultimately setting your sights on Metropol, 'the city of glass and light', a supposed haven where power flows freely to its inhabitants. The characters are written superbly, and are entirely convincing with professional voice actors who also lent their talents to Gemini Rue. The environments are well designed making you want to explore everything and talk to everyone to find out the rich history of the world and why it is the way it is. The puzzles are strangely logically at times, which is refreshing when compared to games like Machinarium (I am terrible at Machinarium) but still feel incredibly rewarding to complete. Primordia also features several endings based on your decisions during the game and near the end. As a side note, I found the Religion of Man to be an incredibly well presented metaphor, it fits the story perfectly and the relative characters are all interesting especially Ever-Faithful Leobuilt. All in all, a fantastic game and well worth your time. I cannot praise Primordia enough!!
