I didn't think I'd like it, but I adore Stardew Valley. The art is beautiful, the music is comfortable and lovely, the characters are all so different and interesting in their own ways. I didn't think I'd like pixel games, and I didn't think I'd love farming, but here I am, playing this game every day after work. I love the game mechanics. I think fishing is just a little too difficult for me, but otherwise, everything is really fun and enjoyable. It really doesn't get old, and with the various farm types, I can build a new farm and do new things every time I restart the game. I wish I could save mid-day, but I understand why I cannot. The developer clearly loves this game with their whole heart, and I love that it still gets updates. 1.5 and 1.6 were both an amazing update. Not to mention just the massive amount of available mods, it can be a fresh playthrough every time.
