Demon's Roots is probably one of the best written RPGs I've played, up there with Chrono Trigger, Planescape: Torment, and the Baldur's Gate series. The characters are downright delightful, and their interactions are some of the best parts of the game. If you came here for pure titilation, you are honestly in the wrong place, though there is some of that. The R-18 elements basically come in three categories, the first being main-story additions that mostly serve the story well, and the other two are completely optional with one type being borderline silly kink indulgences, and the other veering into torture porn. That last one is easy to avoid if you aren't into that, just ignore the "Bad End" system. Overall, this is a roughly 40-hour game for a full playthrough. The english translation is well done and should leave no confusion on what is happening or what you are doing, even going well into the poetic for scenes that warrent it. I'm not sure what else to say; frankly Dealthpolca (the main character) is delightful and her adventure was a fun use of my time with quite a few emotional ups and downs. Make sure you actually play to the end; most of the negative Steam reviews I saw complain about the bad ending, but reference events that are NOT the actual ending. If the game didn't present New Game+, then you haven't seen the ending yet, so keep going!
