Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell®

Awesome! but....

....I feel like the console port are just much better, i played this back at my original big fat Playstation 2, it was AMAZING! I'm a huge stealth-game fan ever since i picked up Metal Gear Solid for the original PS1, and im not trying to make a consoles VS PC flamewar or anything, but some games are just made for certain systems, like certain FPS's are made for PC, and certain RPG's or TPS's are made for consoles, this is one of those times, now one thing ill have to say, PC games will always look better than the console version, mostly because a PC always can be faster, and better than a console, but also because of communities that make MODs and Patches. (although there are a FEW examples of games out there that CLEARLY look better on consoles, but thats another story) the point of this review is, it doesn't matter what platform you play your games on, play on whatever console, or whatever typer of PC you want, Splinter Cell will be a good experience on all of em, this game was revolutionary, while MGS had a solid story, Splinter Cell had solid gameplay, (and well.. a decent story i guess, not the best but whatever) Final verdict: If you are a stealth-game veteran like myself, this is a must, but you most likely have tried it already, however if you're new to the PC version, then give it a try, i personally didn't care for it since i don't have that much time for gaming nowadays, but you might LOVE it, 5 stars.

Populous™: The Beginning

My First Populous Experience.

This was my very first RTS, and Populous game, and what can be said about this game that hasn't already been said about this underrated Gem, You control a Goddess, and you will have to build a village, build up an army, and take down the opponent, classic RTS fare, only that this game has some VERY unique elements, as a goddess you also have different powers, burn down the opponents village, what about a tornado? what about some lighting bolts? or a plague? this game had some unique elements that still hold up to this date, because THIS is what a real RTS is, and i can't recommend this game enough, its just an amazing experience from start to finish, this review might not do the game justice though, but i really want you to buy this game if you have never tried it before, i certainly will for the nostalgia :)

Theme Hospital

Childhood SIM!

This is one of my very favorite games from my childhood, right next to Quake, and Rayman 2, Of course a game like this can't be compared to Quake nor Rayman, because its a whole other type of game, but if you didn't grow up with this game in the late 90s, you wouldn't understand, if anyone wanna revisit their childhood, buying this game a nobrainer, however to people new to this genre, people that are just getting into gaming, or people who don't know what kinda games they wanna start with, this game might be hard to recommend, if you are SMART enough to understand how a SIM works, (not implying that you are stupid) then this game might be fun for you, but there are certain elements of this game that may annoy you a tad bit, but you'll just have to buy it and see for yourself, LGR have a very nice review of this game on "Youtube" if you want to see a live review of it, so i guess thats all i have to say, thanks for bringing back my childhood GOG.

Assassin's Creed®: Director's Cut

The Black Sheep Of The Franchise.

This is clearly the black sheep of the franchise, being the experimental title, the other titles are FAR superior, but don't let that interrupt your interest in trying this one out, if you haven't already played this game, then don't expect one of the best games EVER, because its not, its very repetitive and that might turn you off, however the story IS decent enough to keep you interested, and you can pull off all kinds of special kill moves like in the sequels, oh, and its also important to note that this is far from an open-world game like the second game and up, this have the false impression of being an open world game, while its really not. although you can do some sort of side-mission where you kill templars, and collect flags, and... other things i think, not too sure, if you love stealth games, and semi-open world games, be sure to check this one out, because you'll love it, however, if you are a very judgmental person that can't handle too much of the same, this is a pass, personally i did love it, but i prefer the other games in the series, not a good game, nor a bad one, just a mixed bag :)

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

Double Amazing

I mentioned in my Codename 47 review that it was a new, revolutionary masterpiece, and well, this game is too, upgraded graphics, new types of missions, interesting new levels, and now the option the finish missions HOWEVER you want, you can be stealthy, or you can shoot up the place with whatever guns you may have taken from your little armory, this game is WITHOUT a doubt the best in the series, Sure, Contracts and Blood Money were good, but this is where Hitmans success really started, i can't recommend this game enough, as a matter of fact, why are you reading this? BUY IT NOW! :D

Conflict: Desert Storm

Y U BE HATIN'?

Believe it or not, i love this game, the story is not memorable, nor are the characters, but the simplicity of this game makes it good, this is tactical fun, you command a group of soldiers, all with their own gun skills. one is a normal soldier, one is a heavy gunner, then a sniper, and etc. the controls are not hard to get used to (at least they weren't for me, but you can change em in the options menu anyways so who cares) the gun play is good, sometimes if you screw up it can get pretty intense and you find yourself switching soldiers almost all the time to back up the others, also the levels can go from short, to very long, which may bore some people, but bottom line, if you are a forgiving person, and want to find the good in the bad, then this game will be a blast for you, if you don't think this looks good or interesting, its a pass. overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Hitman: Codename 47

Amazing.

Just a few words describes this. Challenging, Revolutionary, Amazing. This is a game for those who LOVE a challenge, and to think, instead of just going "BANG BANG BANG! Finished!" although in some missions you CAN in fact run and gun, so if you liked the other Hitman games but missed out on this one, then keep in mind its a little bit different, and some people consider it the black sheep of the series, but buy this either if you are a HUGE fan and wanna see where it all started, OR if you want a good challenge, either way, pick it up, Highly recommended!
