The game has a very pretty-looking world, but ultimately exploration is not rewarded. Although the first person view and RPG mechanics feel inspired by immersive sims, the game's world is built around combat. A lot of the mechanics are surpisingly shallow. There are still quite a few bugs, but it is playable.
The game is one of the most detailed strategy games I've ever played, but it lacks som QoL that could make it better. For example, it can be hard to understand where resources are coming from. Additionally, it is hard to get a good overview of different nations' outputs, and even harder to understand how to improve them. Due to the nature of the game, it can be easy to "play yourself into a corner" where you lack resources but have no easy way to improve output.
A stellar game for fans of the franchise and those who relish complex, narrative-driven CRPGs. Its intricate storyline and deep gameplay mechanics offer a rewarding experience, though the extensive time investment and management aspects may be a bit much for some.
