Grimoire : Heralds of the Winged Exemplar

The Blobber you need!

If you're the kinda fella that loves to have a bunch of goons marching in parade formation whackin baddies from square to square, this is the game for you! There's something magical about the extreme focus of one man's vision of how a game should be, and it well worth the buy, even if you don't like it as much.

Incredibly Ambitious!

Not exactly for everyone, but the depth of this game is immense, for the most part you're a small fish in a very big pond but you can only scale up from where you start!

Save Room - Organization Puzzle

A bite sized bit of nostalgic fun!

Understand that this is a fairly short game. There's more than a dozen levels of moving your limited inventory straight out of a survival horror game, but without any of the survival. There's only a couple of goals in-game, empty your staging inventory, put at least one round into all of your firearms, and improve your health from "critical"(Red) to at least "caution"(Yellow). From these simple rules sprouts a good bit of fun that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Ctrl Alt Ego

Imsim Goodness at a fair price!

This game is a wonderful immersive sim! Complete with box stacking, vents, alternate paths, and super-customizable builds that you love, you're bound to find a role in-game for yourself that suits you best! There's a lot to love here. Funny computer puns, fun movement mechanics(and exploits), a tongue in cheek sci-fi story that will have you wanting more. It's all packaged in a sensible size (under 20 gigs) as well. Support a small time developer and give this game the love and attention it deserves!

Wizardry 8

Truly a Hidden Gem of CRPG History!

There is something about this game that is a strange clash of the old and new. there's 3D Environments, but not entirely reasonable looking ones. There's the Dizzying variety of Classes, Spells, and Races to choose from, but little to no explanation of what these systems do outside of Fanmade help. It's a fully fledged turn based RPG, but it was released at quite literally the worst time possible to do so (The rising age of FPS and Console Gaming). It's a game stuck in the middle of these ages, and it shows. What's Good: Wholly reasonable graphical fidelity/compatibility on modern systems with Nglide. It also runs fairly well on modern laptops/mid-range computers. Fantastic Turn Based RPG Goodness. Easily the best mix of Old/New School Turn Based RPG I have played. Outstanding situational Voice Acting for characters in your party. All Party members' appearances/ voices are customizable at any time. Really makes the experience memorable! Plenty of community support if you are stuck or want mods that smooth out the generous jank. What's Bad: Gruelling Early game Grind that can easily turn away newcomers. I don't know how anyone Ironmans this one. You will get positively wiped out by some enemies if you tackle stuff in the wrong order. Clunkly mouse/keyboard driven UI for battles. It takes some getting used to, but try to use as much keyboard as possible to speed up battles. Intresting but somewhat lackluster plot/lore. It works, but it's not all that endearing. Mild amounts of moon logic for in-game item combinations/questlines. There is a journal, but it's not all that useful. You will consult online help a good deal if you don't want to get frustrated. Overall, I would say this is an excellent game to have a slow-burn period of play. Dive in when you feel like it, and enjoy a little peice of history!

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Excellent World: Competent Gameplay.

I had gotten through TW2, and loved it. Obviously, I wanted to see what the first game was like, so I did. I found the Story to be interesting, and a great way to propel a novel character and universe into a game. The ridiculous level of detail in every aspect of the locations is startling. Cities and villages actually are practical in their locations and composition. I enjoyed this game, but it was not without its flaws. (Obviously) In general, the gameplay and fetchquests sometimes feel sincerely out of place, sometimes bogging down the pace. Despite some apparent flaws in gameplay, this will be thoroughly enjoyable to people that can see behind its flaws.
