Been wanting these games for 30 years or so and they did not disappoint. Big dungeon master fan and these are the next step up from there. Really good fun to play, just finished EOB2 and prepping for the 3rd one. Classics any RPG fan should own.
This was one of the first RTSs I played back in the day and it was a very enjoyable game. Had a nice feel and look to it, however it was a quite unforgiving tough game at times. Occasionally you would just get stuck in a mexican standoff, not able to progress. Creating units, they get destroyed, create more, they get destroyed etc. Maybe my tactics were off!
I really wanted to like this. People rave about it, best rpg since sliced bread they say. I think they all have rose tinted glasses on as this game is soooo tedious. Everything is SLOW, nothing at all seems to happen. Spend hours killing rats, not very exciting! The instructions are vague so its sometimes hard to work out how to do things. Takes too long to get anywhere or kill anything. Its a dreary empty vast environment too. It simply does not stand up today and is only worth playing if you played it and loved it back in the day. I never played it before and certainly wont attempt Fallout 2.
