Really mergers the tabletop experience and a CRPG to an enjoyable game.
Game is spectacular, still after all these years. Truly captures the difference between land, sea, and air and what control of each theater means to the over all battle. Also, models ballistic weapons, beam weapons, and missile weapons better than more modern game. Certain weapons work better in certain scenarios. I highly recommend checking out the unofficial patches from the modding community which is still running strong over at TAUniverse. But just wanted to update that the lastest GOG version works with the latest ATI/AMD drivers as of 12/24/13.
