First game I ever played on my first PC was Desperados. Then I played robin hood legend of sherwood and loved it as well. And then commandos..and then suddenly that entire subgenre got really bad and then disappeared completely. Fast forward 10+ years and here comes shadow tactics and completely outclasses all those classics. I REALLY HOPE FOR A SEQUEL + setting...feudal japan and samurais are simply awesome + looks beautiful + music..nothing too memorable but fits perfectly + story and characters...and a very emotional moment I did not expect + gameplay. Mix of strategy, tactics and stealth + nice level variety - some levels (mostly last one) just seem impossible to improvize Overall 9/10 amazing game that basically no one played. Get on it people
Pleasant surprise. I love how multiple endings are not actually endings but are all part of the same (kinda linear) story. Very entertaining. + story and writing. Just seeing all the hilarious ways in which you fail is great :) + lovely art style + combat is simple but fun - little variety in levels, they all repeat constantly - no enemy variety - world and characters could have been more fleshed out - even with all endings still too short Overall 7/10 really fun and unique game to kill one or two afternoons
My favourite game ever, pinnacle of rpg storytelling and the finest conclusion to my favourite series i could have ever hoped for. Serious GOAT candidate + characters, writing, story, emotions everything. Especially if you played and loved the first 2 games like me seeing old those old familiar faces coming back just melted my heart and put a huge smile on my face + one of the best looking, most atmospheric and imaginitive open worlds ever created + high replayability, multiple endings, little choices that will impact the world and break your heart + best side missions in a game ever + enemy variety + sound, voice acting and PERFECT SOUNDTRACK + best combat in the series + free dlc and 2 greatest expansions ever - some minor bugs and glitches - main villain is disapointing (kinda shocking considering every other character is amazingly written) but mr. O'Dimm makes up for it - too easy even on highest difficulty Overall 10/10 perfection
I love all games in witcher series for different reasons...because they are all completely different. And witcher 2 is the most different one. This is game of thrones on steroids! The amount of political intrigue and even the smallest decisions impacting those politics in a major way completely blows my mind. There is so many different endings and depending on one choice you may end up with completely different chapter 2 (and completely different experience). It does how some problems but nothing is perfect + best story of the entire trilogy (imo), writing, characters (best villain of the series - or antihero lol) + multiple endings + high replayability + visuals. This was the best looking game of the year when it came out (bar none) + music + completely different (and better) combat than the first game - long loading times - locations can be confusing to navigate and geralt moves really slow.. - weird difficulty...early game can be punishing for a new player...late game is too easy Overall 8/10 objectively...great game. Also shortest of the series which only adds to high replayability
I love this game. Played it for the first time back when it came out (pirated I'm SORRY, was a kid didn't know better) and it got me with amazing characters, great story and one of the best atmospheres in gaming ever! Now, no mater how much i love the game that spawned my favourite series ever i have to be objective so... +dark slavic setting, amazing atmosphere +story and characters +music / combat...weirdest combat ever...i kinda like it but I understand someone might hate it - repetition of character models (very distracting) and overall stiffness of character animations...animations are great in-game, kinda bad during cutscenes - bugs and crashes Overall 8/10. Combat is the key here..it can break a game for a lot of people. Fortunately, story and setting kept me interested so i got used to combat and kinda like it now. Keep in mind, this was an INDIE game that started (imho) the greatest AAA trilogy ever (now thats both ironic and absolutely amazing). Flawed classic in my eyes
I didnt know this game existed until I saw it on sale. It immediately drew me in with its art style and music but I still couldn't really get into it until 3-4 hours into the game and then it clicked. Hollow knight came out of nowhere and just kept on giving. And I'm so sorry for not buying this game for a full price (and at 15 dollars its a STEAL) so i bought a copy for a friend too. Amazing job from Team Cherry, I'm excited for whatever they do next! + Art style..absolutely beautiful + one of the best, most atmospheric soundtracks I ever heard + Incredibly well crafted beautiful world that is a joy to explore + dark souls - style storytelling, great lore and world building + simple yet challenging combat. Easy to learn difficult to master + memorable bosses + absolute steal at full price + FREE DLC! - slow start (nitpicking) - some areas (last arena battle for example) will test your patience to the maximum lol Overall 10/10 for such a "small" game that came out of nowhere completely blew my mind..probably goty 2017 (cant decide beetwen this and divinity original sin 2)
Possibly the greatest rpg ever created. Original sin 1 was amazing and the sequel improved upon it in every single way. + story, characters, writing and especially narration + meaningful choices and multiple endings + amazing tactical combat that encourages your imagination to solve situations in creative and often hilarious ways + visuals + music + HUGE replayability - Sound issues and framerate issues Overall 10/10 no matter the constant framerate and sound issues i experienced from act 2 and on i cant give this game any less than a 10. Its not just incredibly fun and creative but also very challenging and rewarding
