Cyberpunk 2077

Mediocre at best

First of all, let me say that the graphics are good. They're beautiful, there's some really good music and the writing is done well. There's a lot of work done for this game, which is greatly appreciated. But I would believe that it would have been probably better to have spent some of that marketing effort onto actual basic gameplay mechanics: * The game is designed (and I mean gameplay designed) for consoles. I mean in the "console first" paradigm when gameplay suffers for some odd reason (more to follow). * The handling fo vehicles is terrible and reminds me of the first watchdogs or Mafia III. Vehicles feel like bricks on ice and don't the motorbikes ar handling like small cars rather than actual motorbikes * Non story NPCs feel like "filler" content. Bland, non sensical, speaking as if they were downloaded from The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. In some cases I've caught a businessman trying to fix some wiring and a construction worker with a mask helping a girl that was "nauseus". Amazing. * There are occasions when I felt that the game tries very very hard to be GTA or Red Dead Redemption. And yet it somehow fails. You can either be there to be felt as "real" or be "cartoonish" and Cyberpunk fails at it. * There are many places where the story might need to be fleshed out more. For example, the background introduction stories. The Nomad one feels a little rushed. * Sometimes it feels like Deus Ex, sometimes - like Watchdogs, sometimes - like it wants to be a futuristic GTA. It has its identity only in the theme, which is done great. * Honestly I do not like the way gunfihts work. Especially if you go out and try to make havoc out in the street. Trying to damage vehicles feels like you're hitting armored cars. Of course - the bugs. They are fixible and will be fixed. But there's a lot of them. But what will not be fixed is the gameplay which is mediocre. And I do not believe this game is worth what the developers want it to be.
