Ok, so I'm a fan of isometric RPGs and I enjoy both story-oriented and hack-n'-slash-oriented games. So I gave it try and based on the reviews I really wanted to like this game. After 4 hours in I got really disappointed. The npcs seem uninteresting, the action requires you to exhaust too many resources (I played a mage, maybe a warrior would fare better) until you run out of potions. And then you have to go back levels and levels of a mindless dungeon just to go back to town to rest. Argh that first dungeon... too long, too boring and too unrealistic, like there's a whole Necropolis full of undead under that peaceful village, you get hints as you progress that if it's disturbed all hell breaks loose etc and that's just a horde of undead that a level 3 wizard can miraculously take on his own (of course taking advantage of the stupid enemy AI). Wow. What a threat to the world and what a gaming challenge! (<-irony) Storytelling just seems bad in this game. Also some bugs here and there. Like picking up a heavy stone vase that stays forever in your inventory, with no way of putting it back down as you normally do with other items. The frequency of save and load is too high because you die too often or you stumble upon some stupid bug. To be fair, on the bright side character development seems to be nice and graphics have aged well. Maybe it gets better later on, but the start of this game is uninteresting and not fun. I have no wish of playing it again. If you want a good action RPG play Nox instead.
