I played first Kathy Rain upon its release and again as a Director's Cut version. It has a strong female character and is excellent. This (let us think of it as a sequel) game is at least same if not better. It has everything - engaging story. excellent voice acting, pixels and animated pixels, and it is just perfect. Let us hope the team behind it will receive positive feedback and overwhelming profits so it will continue making these games, and further development of the story. Thanks to all involved in gem.

I have been seeing this game's advertisement on AdventureGamers for at least a year (I beleive?). It was available sometime last week but only on other gaming platforms, and a day or two later on GOG, where I also noticed it is available on Linux from day one - so it was immediately acquired by me (games from GOG can be installed and played directly on Linux with wine even if they are for Windows - as dozens of others are played by me, so this is not a limiting factor, but still the attention to multi-platform availability is appreciated)! It was played out during the weekend, and it is a fantastically beautiful and nicely designed adventure game for 2025 year, recommended it wholeheartedly to all adventure games fans! If you want to play new adventure game, this is excellent choice. It is based on proven practices of the last 30 years of adventure gaming but shaped in a modern way with original story. I envision an enhanced/director's cut version with more or enhanced puzzles; or - one can dream - addition to the background story (no spoilers) from sci-fi aspect, if this game sells well. Kudos to the team behind it, they put a tons of work into this - thanks!!

This game is detailed, and never boring or even easy, after playing it you feel deep satisfaction. Catch is - you have to be already primed for this type of games - old-school like with modern twists but ageless aesthetics of eons gone by (think Quake-ish/Heretic mix made for modern widescreens and controls). The only issue I am having is a specific technical one since i am a stubborn Linux user (Debian/Ubuntu): while it was relatively easy to enable it on Debian I still haven't been able to work it up on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS - although I am certain it has to be possible. But that has nothing to do with quality of the game itself, hence 5 stars. Highly recommended.
