This was a nice surprise... got it massively reduced in sale, it actually ran ok on my potato PC, reminded me of old style FPS's but in all the best ways and was just fun all round. Considering the 'AA' status it's very well polished. Levels are interesting, skill upgrades are gradual but effective, world building is excellent, graphics are good, combat dynamics are really fun. Some bosses are sponge bags resulting in tedious fights. Some of the story gameplay seems unnecessary and trys too hard to tell a simple story. Some side quests feel like a time wasting slog - but feel necessary to gain skill points. Cutscenes aren't edited brilliantly. But shootin' up bad guys is the main attraction here... it is a great FPS. And the world building - it is true to the original movies in look and vibe. The original Robocop actor does the voiceover here... I mean that's really cool. Some of ambient NPC lines and radio/TV stuff will crack you up too. Great writers. I've done 70-80% of the side quests it took about 16 hours which is pretty decent. It's not 5 star but it's not 3 star either... So eh 4 it is.
Didn't think I'd like it but it's as good as an action adventure game gets.
It's really great. Not my kind of game but had to try it out and it doesn't disappoint. I give it 9/10... 1 point docked for making me sweat a lot.
