Do not waste your money on this unless you get it from somebody as gift or found it thrown at the parking lot! This game has 3 - 4 action/combat moment, rest is just walking and walking and talking to herself like schizophrenic. It has some puzzles which you need youtube's help to solve, other than no clue how to progress or what! The game is literally 3-4hrs long even if you had hard time solving the puzzles and fighting the 5 6 monsters in 3 4 fights! I'd call this someone's undergrad film school/3d project rather than even a class B game. And it has no valid ending! I own this on xbox disc and now nobody wants to get it from me even for a grande starbux!
This was one of the best few games of its time, part 1 was challenging and sometimes that was frustrating so the devs included saves through map computer! Levels are awesome and weapons are very good. I wish some bought the IP and release a modern version with advanced AI and game engine! But I guess we have splinter cell for that! Hey GOG, any chance of putting IGI 1 on the shelf so that we can enjoy that again as well? And one has to be special type of mentally challenged to not like this game! Gen z infants jumped into this game expecting to be battlefield or COD? Pfft... Kids, this is how all the modern stealths have begun!
It's a XCOM style turn based game which is badly executed. Graphics is good but you cannot zoom out, no rollback, complicated hints, easy to get lost, no map, no enemy heatmap, no saves. Even Delta Force from 1999 is much better than this. Am I frustrated? Yes and no, I just play this game if I don't have anything else to do. BUT, DO NOT get it for the full price! I mean value your money and yourself!
Even at the time of release, it didn't worth more than $2-$3. They followed the trend from the first game and made another disaster. Also this game is not graphically optimized at all so expect sever frame drops, screen tearing and what not! Nice to have it in collection but not playworthy. On the contrary their recent releases were much much better. Good luck.
I consider this as a motivational game for those who lose hope soon and attempt to commit suicide! I'd tell them look, this CI games made this terrible game in the history of digital humankind whose game mechanics is terrible than ever that even delta force 1 is much much superior to this yet, they proceeded on and released Ghost Warrior 2, then 3, then Contracts! Do not lose hope, life is beautiful! Someday some good will come out from you. :)
