Heroes of Might and Magic® 2: Gold

Best HOMM ever ;)

For me this is the best part of HOMM serie, with also best graphics. I know it can be debatable, but for me units and castles from homm2 are beautiful pieces of artwork with the soul :) When You have it, download the Nosferatu map from the web- it's probably the best single-player map for homm2 ever.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack

Very good remake of old classics

Very addicting game :) Like the very first Xcom. But now the graphic part of the game is absolutely great. All Aliens looks totally badass-from Sectoids to Ethereals, alien weapons looks badass, a Firestorm looks badass :) Game mechanics is good, and tactical battles are great. Really good job from the developing team. Very interesting ideas in research section (Alien weapons destruction if alien is killed, research points after interrogaring living Aliens making specific researches much faster). My only complaints are about soldiers class skills and levelling system- i don't like that soldiers are getting random class (i'd rather assign a class manually to each of them, i really don't need a fifth Heavy in 12-person squad while having only 3 Assaults), and i don't like the levelling system with rank increase (yeah, a full base of colonels...why not generals ?) Also, there are simply too many of class skills, and some of them are illogical. Why, for example, only Supports can use a 'smoke grenade' ? Is it so hard to use ? Or how is Heavy supposed to use 'HEAT ammo' skill with weapons that are not a RPG launcher ? For example- HEAT ammo for...a laser - how does it work ? But, it's still a very good game, and if You like squad-based tactical games - worth of spending some dozens of hours :) And if You are a fan of Xcom serie - a must :)

X-Com: Apocalypse

3rd part of Xcom

It is easier than Enemy Unknown (not to mention TFTD), but still very good member of the Xcom family :) One of its best features is real-time option for tactical missions (with active pause -it works great). All the rest is more or less the same - shot down UFOs, combat aliens, save civilians, and research alien technologies. And base management - hire scientist, hire soldiers, buy weapon, build better weapon (or crafts) -all classica Xcom. And of course ( i love this in Xcoms ) - if you want your soldiers enter a building via the wall (instead of the doors) -it is only matter of firepower :)

X-Com: UFO Defense

Absolutaly great classic :)

A great classic. If You are a fan of squad-based tactical games, You just need to play this. However, i do NOT recommend to buy it here (sorry, GOG). Instead - go for Open Xcom. It's better incarnation of this great game, and it is free... and more - there are a lot of mods for it (and you can also easily create Your own mod if you want). BTW- i highly reccomend to play without saving during tactical missions :) This changes a lot.

Crusader Kings Complete

Strange game

This game is mostly about waiting... but surprise-this waiting can be addicting. You will either hate it and remove it after a sigle hour or less, or try to figure out how to play it, and spend long hours building your medieval empire. Hovwever when you define a few action patterns, all things starts to be repeatable. Example here- grab/usurp title, declare war, but do not strip conquered counts/dukes of their titles and provinces- make them your vassals instead, if possible (do not apply for kings titles). Wait till your reputation improves, and repeat. Free tip here- a lot of (sometimes very annoying) windows can be removed by messing with options. Also you can add a pause to some, if you want. And another free tip - scan loyalty not only of your vassals, but court members too. Disloyal steward can cost you a lot. Not to mention a disloyal spymaster (well... that is, if you don't plan to switch the ruler for his son very soon ). And honestly -I would love if someone create a patch making interfaces still functional when your ruler has 100 or 200 vassals, not only for 20 of them (the same goes for court members). But still, raising the empire of 200+ provinces, over 170 vassals and 17 kingdoms from a 3-province duchesy is a satisfying experience.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior

Not what i expected...

Someone thought that the idea of mixing 'sniper' missions with 'assault' missions is good. Unfortunately - in this case it is not. While sniper missions are some fun ( even if all the game is totally linear and literally holds player's hand, leaving no place for own ideas ), assault missions are simply one streak of pain.
