Dink Smallwood HD

A classic!

Dink is a classic, no doubts. I dumped hours into this game as a kid, and was stoked to find it still online all these years later. Not only that, but the modding community is still active -- a marvelous thing to see! It is a little difficult to suss out what you need to do at points, or sometimes you have to grind for gold and levels. That's fine; that's what RPGs (particularly older ones) are about. The humour is there (although a few jokes may fall flat for modern audiences), and the controls are simple. Despite a limited amount of assets available to the game, there's enough variety in enemies and environments to remove most feelings of "same-y-ness". The music volume slider is great, although one small critique I've had is that the SFX are LOUD, no matter what. I wish there was a slider for that. Overall 5/5 will punch ducks again. ... Not pigs though. Feed the pigs. Pigs are friends.

Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice Edition

The best Unreal Tournament Game

As many other reviewers have stated, this stands as the best installment of the UT franchise. While UT GOTY and UT 2K3 were awesome in their own rights, UT 2k4 introduced vehicles, the Redeemer, and several game modes that would keep a LAN party rocking far beyond when it was advisable to stop. Heck, even if you want to play solo, a good ol' fashioned bot-stomp is not going to disappoint. There are plenty of levels, plenty of variety in strategies, and plenty of mayhem no matter how you play, or with whom. Don't pass this one up!
