I have played this game many times. I love the LOL series (OK III is a like, not love). Anyway, the port is pretty good, but has some holes. It does not need 3D acceleration anymore, but the game would benefit from features like AA. The controls don't let you use more than two mouse buttons which is very limiting. The keyboard is hard to configure for a standard wasd strafe setup. The biggest failure is a glitch that many (including me) have had which stops you mid-game at a vital scene - actually, the very animation that is about to occur in the first game preview image. The game crashes to desktop. There are a dozen articles about this online. For an old, lightly selling game, this is suggestive of a wide spread problem. In all, fantastic game, but GOG needs to work some port kinks out, and some modernizing enhancement options would be nice.
