I bought this in a box, what, 30 years ago? It was an outstanding, fun, challenging game and it remains so now. Turn-based strategy means you can enjoy playing but break anytime you need to. The world-building aspect is great and streamlined. This is not for someone who wants hex-by-hex control over how and where roads are built. Instead you concentrate on competing goals.
If you need a cortisol-busting gaming experience, I'd try this one. The player controls the pace , the music scoring/design is top-notch, and the animation/graphics is super. We've really enjoyed playing this game with our pre-teens and enjoyed it as adults.
