Had the potential to surpass the first game, but the weak ending leaves the player wanting much more. The bulk of SWKOTORII is amazing, just as good as the first game, which was a masterpiece. But the ending arc of the game is where it stumbles big time. Developers were rushed by the publisher and that is always an awful thing. Sad, but this is still a must play for anyone who enjoyed the first game.
I would give this game a 4.5/5. Not a masterpiece but an incredibly fun game. If you want the best lightsaber combat ever made in a game, look no further. Also has solid gun play with a lot of fun weapons. The level design is where this game shines. Such varied and fun levels make you feel like you are in the Star Wars universe. Also some really good voice acting and the story is pretty good. Far better than Fallen Order and was made 16 years prior. Also check out the second Jedi Knight game, Jedi Outcast.
This game is solid. Very solid. But it falls short in key areas and ultimately falls well short of the title of "great game". This is a third person action RPG with a semi-open world and very light choice elements. Pros: + Highly detailed character creation + Excellent boss fights + Good array of moves and spells + Some fun exploration + Atmospheric dungeons +Awesome monsters Cons: - Weak voice acting - Weak, uninteresting story - Boring characters - Repetitive encounters - Tedious loot system - Somewhat bland outdoor environments
One of the most relaxing games out there. How I would describe this: Calm music combined with an idyllic forest location where you manage the survival and prosperity of your peaceful, isolated village. If you like or are interested in city or town sims, I would recommend this. If you want a relaxing game that is simple to play yet has a good amount of elements to keep you interested, I would recommend this. Not a big game by any means but a relaxing, tight town sim experience.
Flatout 2 is a well designed racing game that I would recommend to anyone interested in the genre. Not very realistic but the feel of driving is excellent. There is nitro boost and you can trash other racers' cars to permanently end their race. After I watched Initial D I got the itch to play this and can say I had a lot of fun.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is a diamond in the sea of sh*t that is the PC game industry today. It is fun and reasonably challenging from start to finish. There are so many possibilities and the levels are masterfully crafted to provide myriad routes to victory. You can play without killing anyone or you can slaughter every enemy. So many memories and I've only played it through once (purchased on Steam and got it here in a bundle with KD: Deliverance). I will definitely play again at some point as this game has a lot of possibilities from a gameplay perspective. It truly is a throwback to days when games were made with love and care. Play with Japanese audio for full immersion. Also option for Japanese text but I'm not learned enough in the language to keep up. Gameplay: 9 Story: 7 Level Design: 9 Graphics: 9 Sound: 10 Voice Acting: 10 Polish: 10 Replay Value: 8 Enjoyment: 9 Verdict: Overall excellent in every aspect. You cannot go wrong with this one. Rare these days.
