Well, this is a very good shoot em up. Funny, spectacular and replayable. A steal if you get this discounted. Just remember to play with an arcade stick or a digital dpad, like it is supposed to. Just something, don't get overexcited with the 5 stars hype reviews. I really don't know if devs or just low expectations folks write them or what, but GOG is full of hyping and misleading reviews. If you want the best shoot em up for PC get Ikaruga, for example. Just remember that you are supposed to use a single credit per game.

What can I say? The game is over 15 years old and keeps me playing it every few years... Due to compatibility issues it's actually the third time I buy it, but it was worth every penny every single time. In my humble opinion BG is not only an exceptional game that defined an era and created a new sub-genre, it is a game that has aged very well and one of the few games that don't disappoint when you play them after a few years hiatus. Everything, from the perfect translation of the 2nd edition od AD&D rules (better and simpler than following editions in most respects), to the gorgeus backgrounds , the depth of gameplay or the tons of content speaks volumes of the love put in a game by Bioware, a company that has changed a lot for the worse in recent years.
