Atmospheric and Engaging, Loved It

I found this game to be much more enjoyable than I anticipated. I didn't know much about it going in. I didn't expect the story that I ended up experiencing. Maybe the lack of expectation helped. Dialog choices is the main mechanic of the game, plus some exploration. The dialog was very well written, and the voice acting is excellent. I really connected with the characters. This is more of a game that you experience rather than play in the traditional sense. I would compare it to a game like Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons in that regard. The game itself is not terribly challenging, but the story and atmosphere really pull you in. While there is a little bit of walking simulator in the game, the dialog, characters, and story keep things moving. The visual style is also worth mentioning. It is a simple yet visually pleasing game. I can't help but wonder how great this would be in VR, particularly in the free roaming mode. As for the ending, I felt like it ended on a realistic and satifying note. This game is really about two people isolated from the rest of the world, trying to get away from their lives. The only disappointment that I found was that the game ended before I was ready for it to end. The regular price is a little bit high for the experience, but if you can get this game on sale then it is absolutely worth it. I played through the Linux version without any issues on Arch Everything worked great, no issues whatsoever. I love that these smaller/indie developers release Linux versions of their games.
