Now is June 2025 and this 2016 Doom aged so well that I would still believe it someone told me that this game came out this year for the first time. I hope to play it even 100 yrs later. I hope I am still alive by then.
I don't know why one of the users down here says the game runs at 60fps because it's definitely not 60fps. I guess some people don't even know what fps is or still uses black and white monitors.
I had played something similar to this game such as divinity original sin 2. But this game feels so much outdated. Graphic is bad to say the least. So many loading screens. - DOS2 didn't have this many loadings. Bad font - DOS2 had different different sizes, colors, and styles so it was much easier to read. Lazy and boring game. This game makes you get on the horse to travel the world map and forces you to take a rest every 30 sec saying that characters are building up fatigue. I just can't think of any games that are worse than this.
I expected this sequel to be better but it was a huge disappointment. Witch with supernatural power is the final boss but you can kill her instantly, there is no epic battle or epic story. Low budget without CG and bad storytelling. Save your time and money and stay away from this game. If you really want dishonored, play 1st one. All the new addition they added to dishonored 2 are useless, or pointless. Story is far better in dishonored 1. Enemies are far better in dishonored 1. The only thing I liked about 2 was the clocktower soldiers. They are well designed, but that's about it.
I have played both 1 and 2. Both of them are low budget games to be honest. No CG cutscenes. Both games have final bosses that die in less than 1 sec at the highest difficulty. That means no epic battles exist. However, Dishonored 2 is about a witch with supernatural power so you automatically assume that you are going against someone much stronger than you. That's where it fails hard. Dishonored 1 is just about normal people who want to take over the empire. That's why the story is much more believable. Dishonored 2 tried too hard to be sci-fi and failed hard. Dishonored 1 is stealth action game with supernatural power. It gives you option to be either stealthy or kill them all. I honestly don't see a difference between these two except the final ending. I much prefer kill over slow and stealthy. I don't consider myself a hardcore gamer but normal is too easy and there is no challenge at all. I recommend hard difficulty even to an average gamers. There is also very hard mode. I got it for $5 during winter. Now it's back to $20. This is a very good game for $5, but I can't recommend it for $20. Dishonored 2 was $10 during sale but it was a huge waste of money and time. Dishonored 2 was all about witches and it was just not interesting enough. The only thing I liked was clocktower soldier but that's about it and I only saw less than 10 of them throughout the entire game.
