LEGRAND LEGACY: Tale of the Fatebounds

Mixed thoughts on this one

Honestly, I don't think i have ever been so mixed about a game before. Legrand legacy is a good (and very, very cheap) title, but flawed. The story is very basic, but still entertaining. My main gripe with it, is the writing. The script is full dialogues that just don't feel natural, and extends for far longer than it should... And some sentences could've been worded better. The combat is quite fun. I'd even go as far as to say that it's the thing I enjoyed the most about the game (alongside the soundtrack and art style). Unfortunaly, it has balancing issues, especially on bosses. Boss battles in this game are all about having every character spam their special move right at the start and hope for the best. Your normal attacks won't do much damage, meanwhile, the boss can easily kill your whole party, outdamaging the few healing options you have. It all comes down to ending the fight as soon as possible by spamming your special moves and guarding, while charging said special moves. Art and soundtrack are great. I can't think of anything to complain about. Progression is weird. Leveling takes too long, which forces you to rely on farming stat boosting items (you can get them quite easily later on, but it will still take more time than some people are willing to spend) to have any real sense of progression. Weapon crafting requires mats that are named in an unconventional and confusing way. For example, there's a certain enemy named "Dukhodhour". To make a certain weapon, you'll need it's claws. But instead of naming it "Dukhodhour claw", they decided on naming it as "shubah". Like... Why?! And to make matters wore, there's no bestiary in-game, so yeah, reading a guide is not optional. Overall, i can feel the love in this project, and i do hope the devs can, eventually, learn from this experience and improve on their next project.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Great starting point to the series.

I'm too poor for stalker 2, and the hype brought me into the series. I came in expecting nothing, yet the game delivered everything. It's old and dated, yes, but if you can endure it, there's a great game behind it. There's a lot of backtracing and walking though, as there is no fast travel (at least, not that i've seen in 6 hours of gameplay).
