One of the best open world games I've played. It sucks you into the world with the atmosphere, the characters and the stories. It's so close to feeling like a real living city. Great game.
I love The Witcher 3, and this has the potential to be a great game but there were too many occasions where it was unbelievably frustrating. The tutorial is really basic, eg I had to Google how to use mutations. On several occasions I couldn't work out where I had to go. The combat is generally pretty good, but difficult. I don't like the way you have to sit down to take a potion and you can't top up a potion that you've already taken. It means there were a lot of occasions where I had to reload so I could prep before a fight. I guess it's supposed to be a role playing thing but it didn't work for me. I didn't like the boss fights at all for a combination of reasons but especially because of the potion thing I mentioned before. Later on, even on easy difficulty level I found them tough, and more annoying than actually challenging my skill. And I've played all the Souls games so I'm ok with a challenge! The story is reasonably interesting, but I had a hard time remembering which character was which. Later on it's a real political jumble of not very distinctive people and who they fight for. Overall it's worth the money, and I got a good amount of fun from the game, but it's not a patch on Witcher 3.
This is going to be a great game! The world is fantastic but but it's buggy at the moment. Not game breaking bugs for me, I am still having loads of fun with it but lots of little graphical and sound bugs. My main criticisms other than the bugs: 1. The crafting system and world economy needs some serious work. At the moment crafting is largely pointless because the stuff you pick up will always be better and the mods have very little effect. I want to be able to craft cool stuff that is better than the standard gear I pick up off every corpse! 2. The main storyline is a little too short. The meat of the game is in the side quests, which are great, but it would be very easy to miss some of the best side quests if you didn't go looking for them. 3. Fast cars feel like you are driving on ice. There are other minor things but generally I'm having a great time with the game. One last thing, the first review I saw said you can't remap the keys. I remapped the keys for driving successfully.
I really liked the idea, but the combat in this game is terrible. There is no way to avoid fighting so you just have to live with it. It's like the worst version of Dragon Age style combat, where you can almost pause the game and line up a few actions then unpause, but it's really badly implemented. The actions have no weight to them and the hit boxes are vague so it feels like a really unsatisfying sparring match, often ending up in chaos and button mashing. Other than that there's a lot of uninspiring cut scenes with fairly poor voice acting. The game looks pretty enough and ran fine but I would recommend waiting for a deep sale if you fancy giving it a go.
Get past the first few missions where it seems like just a load of clicking and this is a really good management sim with a dark sense of humour. The game really starts when you can hire staff. There maybe a few occasions where you want to help them out to achieve a better result but they will do a lot of the grunt work leaving you to play with different strains of weed and decide how you want to grow your weed empire. It's a lot of fun so if the idea appeals to you it's worth buying.
