I didn't really get a chance to play the game beyond a few minutes, so I can't really comment on the gameplay, but there were a few things that made me give up and jump straight to review. First and foremost, the menu options. I realize that this is a game that pays tribute to classic RPG's, but there's absolutely no excuse for releasing this game without the option to easily change the resolution. I was forced to either play in windowed mode, which was so small that it was virtually unplayable, or play in full screen mode, which was locked in a stretched 4x3 aspect ratio. Why on earth would you release the game without giving the user the option to play the game in a proper aspect ratio? I'm fine with playing a game in 4x3 aspect ratio, but at least give us the option to have borders. Secondly, I tried to play the game using a controller, but for some reason they made the controller settings needlessly complicated. The only way to access the controller is to press F1 (only in windowed mode) and manually set the controller buttons one at a time. It's 2021 people ... this is lazy an inexcusable on the part of the developers. Lastly, I have to say that the box art is some of the worst I have ever seen. Believe me when I say that I love classic box art, but this is in a league of it's own. Normally I wouldn't complain about something so trivial, but it stood out like a sore thumb in my games list. That being said ... perhaps the gameplay is good, but these three reasons were enough to make me uninstall.

This is one of the best co-op games that I've ever played! I've actually played a number of co-op games with my son over the years, but a lot of them suffer from frustrating controls and gameplay. You can tell that the developers put a lot of thought into the controls for this game because it isn't nearly as frustrating as other games in the genre. There are still a few frustrating issues to overcome, but my son and I are having a blast playing this game. It really feels like you're playing a modern 3D platformer like Zelda ... only it's multiplayer. I highly recommend picking this up, even if you have to but it at full price.

The controls on this game were extremely poorly executed. My wife and I both tried to play this game, but neither one of us could make it past 5 minutes of gameplay. The game itself seems to have a lot of charm and the artistic direction feels really fresh and original, but the controls are way too bad to overlook. The developers really need to rethink the way this game plays and release an updated version.

I can't believe I didn't review this when it came out, but it absolutely deserves a 5 star rating. It's one of the few remasters that are absolutely perfect in every way. They even added new levels to the game that feel exactly like they would have if they were released in the 90s. We need more of these remasters from Apogee, especially Scubaventure and Commander Keen (as well as a few others). Well worth the price!

I absolutely love the games from Apogee and Emberheart does an excellent job remastering this classic. It's a faithful remaster to the original in every way and even manages to create an entirely new chapter in the series. I really hope they continue on this trend of remastering the classics from Apogee because there are quite a few more that I'd love to have in my collection. Highly recommended for the price!

I was waiting for this game to come to GOG for ages and now that I've had a chance to sink some time into it I can safely say that It's a mediocre game. The characters are pretty cool, the gameplay is okay, the combat get's a bit repetitive and the storyline is really weird. I can certainly understand why people like this game, but it's not for me.

This game is very short, but offers a really great story and atmosphere. It plays very similarly to games made from Amanita Design, but I managed to beat the game in only 1.5 hours. I'm not sure what else I can say about it besides this ... pick this up if you want a quick, fun and charming point and click adventure.

I was skeptical when I saw the trailer for this game, but I can verify that this game is absolutely epic! It's a perfect cross between F-Zero and WipEout ... but you can also ride on the walls. I haven't gotten that far into the game yet, but it blew me away when I played the first level. The controls are very tight, the music is very fitting, and the battle aspect is well executed. Great deal for the price!

I was hesitant to buy yet another arcade collection, but this one is a cut above the rest. You can tell that SNK put their heart and soul into this collection. Every image they use is top notch and the selection is excellent. I highly recommend picking this up for anyone who loves the arcade classics.

I never thought this game would come to GOG, since it's already a free to play web game, but I am so happy to see that GOG came through for us! This series is one of my absolute favourite from Amanita Design. It's a point and click adventure game that plays just like the 2 & 3 installments in the franchise.
