I use that to describe it rather than platformer because its so much more than a button masher. In fact it is the first i've finished in probably 15 years, because its just plain fun. First, and for most its actually a puzzle game, the three characters each have their own ways of solving the puzzles, although for most of them there is a fairly obvious solution utilizing the wizard or thief. Try to solve the puzzles with one of the other characters in these situations. The developers claim there are solutions to all the problems using all three characters, but sometimes I wonder.... Anyway, besides some clipping bugs, and the skeletons (which were apparently an afterthought), the game is exceedingly well polished and has fantastic graphics for a game in this genre. The music/story also fits the whole environment like a glove. BTW: Trine II is out, but I'm waiting for the DRM free version on GOG.
