Ran into a game breaking buy about 20 hours in...kinda disappointing that these sorts of issues are still present in the game, makes me wary of supporting these older titles. Basically just threw away the price of the game...and tbh it didn't run that good, even without the gambreaking bug.
Would've been reasonable if the pack had a few dozen portraits...but tbh the ones in this pack aren't great, and I've never heard of the so-called famous artist that produced them.
It's...fine. It's not great. There's a lot of filler and padding which adds little, transporting around is a chore and many of the quest lines are poorly explained, or simply not explained at all. Ditto with the mechanics...there's little explanation of Kingdom expansion which seems almost random, for example. Still, there is a lot of content, of varying quality, so it's got plenty of playtime even if a lot of that time is frustrating and repetitive.
As title suggests, the sound in game doesn't work. Works fin the cutscenes...doesn't work for the gameplay (not for Windows 11). Disappointing, I love TNG and I've been wanting to play this game forever, but the problem seems pretty widespread and it's a shame to see it hasn't been fixed, or at least a workaround provided to allow people purchasing the game to actually play it.
