A short but very good metroidvania. And it is free. Awesome!
I’m sorry, I’m not able to describe this game. I can’t explain what really make me love this game so much. The atmosphere is wonderful. Living in the zone and breathing the radiation filled air of Chernobyl is an unique game experience. In the internet it is possible to find some game mods to smooth the few game “asperities”. Wonderful game.
I love Tomb Raider and I can easily recommend every Tomb Raider game. Except this one, of course. In this game, all the things that made the Tomb Raider franchise a legend, are gone. The controls are modified with respect to previous Tomb Raider games. Unresponsive, imprecise and clunky controls is what you will find here. Forget about raiding tombs, here you will play on poorly designed city levels, laboratories, sewers… Weird upgrades of Lara abilities, pointless boss fights, lots of bugs and crashes conclude the distressing scenario. My personal experience starts with a bug that prevent me to run the game (it has been solved searching on internet) and ended with a bug that prevent me to pass through a cutscene in “the Strahov Fortress” level. The game crashed EVERY single time. I found on internet a savegame to skip this part, but I’m not sure I will play again this game. I’m not so masochist.
I'm so sad to write a poor revirew for one of the best platform game of the 90s era that I loved on my Mega Drive. Earthworm Jim is a brilliant game but this version is awful. I'm honest i didn't reach the end of this game here on pc because the controls are horrible, the joypad is unresponsive and impossible to being decently calibrated. There aren't any sound effects, only music. The minutes I spent playing this game tired to ruin my memory of a great game. If you don't know this game, maybe you will find only a chaotic game with horrible controls. If you already know it, you will found the worst version of this game, you will be disappointed. I'm sorry, I'm not brave enough to also try Eartworm Jim 2. So my reaview is ONLY about Earthworm Jim 1. Unfortunately I must say: "avoid it".
Tomb Raider a so famous brand that everyone know what it is. This 1+2+3 collection is a milestone in videogames hystory. If you are not scared by an old game, you will find the best Tomba Raider games ever. Beware they are onld games: old controls, old graphic, old mechanics but awesome gameplay.
