Engaging and endless!

There is much to admire in this many layered RPG experience. At its roots is a skillfully told story that takes the player through a lengthy and engaging campaign. The classes are well rounded and all equally enjoyable to play, especially if you are somewhat familiar with the DnD rule set. And the carrot on the stick? A seemingly endless array of unique and increasingly powerful items. The ending of the campaign will leave you feeling very much like a powerful hero ready to take on the myriad of excellently made user mods. Check out nwn vault for an idea of how popular player mods became. Over the years, updates to the toolset allowed the average player to more easily craft their own adventures. And finally, persistent online worlds allow you to enter a fan created world and explore, chat and fight with other like minded folk. If you enjoy games in this genre and have never played NWN, then your in for a treat. NWN 2 pales in comparison which just goes to show that story and community can indeed supersede better graphics! Get it and enjoy!

Odd but truly loved..

Soo excited to see this gaming masterpiece up on GoG! Being an old school PC gamer, this was the first and in fact only game that didn't tell me a story, it had me create it! Nothing can describe the feeling of playing something so non-linear, unusual, odd and off the beaten track. How many times did I pause the game and mull over an event or scene or a piece of dialogue, thinking to myself did that really just happen? I have waited forever for a remake that is faithful yet not overshadowing the original, something that compliments but doesn't diminish the love I have for the creative genius that was Planscape: Torment. Notably there never has been a sequel. This game truly is one of a kind.

Time consumption at its finest!

In the past, I played countless hours on HoMM 2 and 3. This version is my all time favorite. The heroes skills are extremely customizable and the challange and enjoyment of this game is bar none for me. I too joined GoG just so I could relive my Heroes 3 days all over again. The game runs perfectly and includes all expansions as stated. Very happy with my purchase!

Just the right balance..

When I saw the opportunity to get this game again without having to mess around with dos box, I jumped on it! I am extremely happy with the quality. It plays great, just like I remember it. Not to hard, not too easy and consuming way too much of my time! Highly recommend.
