Atmospheric. Immersive. Intriguing. Dark. Challenging. It's a pinnacle of the genre, and the epitome of AAA adventure gaming. It beautifully combines full-motion video characters (complete with drama, intrigue, and plot twists) with Myst-like exploration and mechanical puzzle-solving. The production values are top-notch: everything from art-direction and environment design, through to the FMV production, are to the highest standards. Even the puzzle-design and difficulty balance are good (despite coming from an era where moon logic was rampant). And the soundtrack is simply superb. It's sad that they just don't make adventure games like this anymore. Zork Nemesis is a rare gem, and offers a world worth returning to.
