Baldur's Gate 3

Original Sin 3 Ascent of the Mind Flayer

It looks like someone is trying to do a Divinity Original Sin game, that is running on the D&D 5th Ed rules and is full of the Dragon Age style cutscenes ... I do have a very mixed feelings from this. It is not bad, even in this state, it is very fun, but I hope that I will be able to continue with the party I have already, because I do not have any intention to play anything here for the 2nd time. I usually don't enjoy the combat in the RPG and I like when it can be solved in the different way, but here I just want to hack & slash through everything, because almost everybody here is annoying. Ou and the combat and rules mechanics are the best part of this game so far. It can improve, it is just early access, I played for 8th hours and there is a long way ahead.

Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

This is the game!

In 2017 I was disappointment many times when I bought a new game. This was my last purchase in the year. I saw it on sale, I know the hype, so I said, let's buy it and I will see. First 2 hours was like 2 minutes and I was not sleeping and playing when I can. I still don't beat game, as I did not have so much time, but I am progressing through it. Yes it has some flaws, for example quest structure is too rigid in contrary with the relative free world. So you can go and pass things earlier than was imagine by the storywriters and unfortunately there is no much response to it in dialogues (e.g. I solved the murder, but I could not tell it to anyone). Another flaw is that sometimes your 2 characters are doing things that prevent you to do something, that you know is a trap or cheat. In one situation I lacked the option to say, hey I know that this is a fraud, but let's do it anyway. This should be done a bit differently. But it does not affect my rating. Or I could say it is not 5 stars, it is 4.8 stars, which rounds up to 5. I like the music, voice acting is good, not annoying. I like the story and the way how it slowly develops, with some already mentioned caveats to the rigid quest structure. I like the turn based combat, as you can pause and think what to do (I was never able to manage the tactical pause in other similar games). One feature is that you have various elements and powers and you can influence and use the environment tactically. You can interact with a lot of the things and talk to animals. You do not have all aggressive animals jumping from all directions on you that you have to farm because of the XP (this is in fact a nonsense that is in many CPRGs). And in fact there is just few XP farming, rather here every encounter has some meaning and every fight is set to the wider context of the story. This is in fact perfect. There is a good choice how to build your characters and progress them. You can be double handed sword wielding wizard that talks to animals or whatever else.

Torment: Tides of Numenera

Perfect Invitation to the 9th world

I really liked this game. The biggest plus is the setting, worldbuilding and story. Charaters are the weakest part of the storytelling, but it is not so bad. Tweaks here and there will do some good, to add them few additional lines and comments. There is no one like Morte, it means the character that is putting the group together with constant interaction with the others. Crisis system is annoying from time to time, but most of the combat situations have a different solution than violence. It is very good that you could practically talk through the game from start to end. But it is quite obvious thing. What if I want to play a stupid character that would like to smash everything? Is it possible? It is more an adventure than RPG.

DOOM (1993)

Great game

Great game. So much fun, so many years, absolute classic. I am still playing this one from time to time.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition

Too few things in there

It is hardly a game. What i lack is the ability to touch the things, to interact with the surroundings in any meaningful way. It is just a going and talking. I stopped listening after a while. There were no reason to do so. I lacked immersion to the game. I lack ability to go where I want to go, or just try. I know it is quite old already and one of the first of its kind, but still the adventure games of the past was much better. I still remember them.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition

The best pc game of my life

For me personally Morrowind is the best pc game of my life. I spent hundreds of hours playing this tittle. And I am still playing it from time to time, sometimes with my oldest character that i have created before more than 10 years (and map has still quite lot of the blank areas). It could give you perfect immersion to the story, lore in morrowind is very detailed, it has multiple ways how to finish the game, it could be done in minutes or in lifetime. It has a lot of options for the character builds. Because the graphical style of the game is very distinctive, it aged quite well even in this area. Soundtrack is wonderful, very decent and very calm, but energizing. It can be modded and modding community is alive and well and still improving Morrowind (even this was not a factor for me, a I like vanilla version more).

Betrayal at Krondor Pack

One of the best one games I ever played

This was the first game that I've owned and I bought when I already knew that I will have the computer (two months before it). Even in that times it was an old game and setup was not easy, but I finally manage to configure it properly. After that it took almost one year to complete it. Basically I've learned english by playing this :D. Really I could lively remember hours spent by solving the riddles, trying to translate it and reading through all the dialogs. I think that the 2nd walkthrough will be just few months shorter than the first one before 15 years. :D I believe that the story is making the game, and story of this one is simply one of the best.
