If, somehow you are new to HOMM3 or have never played before, this is a game you are sure to have a lot of fun with. Despite the aged graphics, gameplay is smooth and the worlds are full of many things to explore and conquer. There is little storyline, but that's secondary to the fun of it all. Some interface things are a bit repetitive and annoying, such as bouncing from the same screens and windows over and over again. You will quickly get tired of next day, next day, etc just to accomplish city upgrades, digging for artifacts, traveling around the map, etc. I totally understand that this is a turn-based game, so that is a minor nitpick. The one thing to be aware of, is that multiplayer can be great fun, but is virtually not possible if any of the computers are running Windows 10. Install your DirectPlay, make exceptions for your firewall, and , well nope...it isn't ever going to connect. It's really a shame, considering there are so many scenarios and ways to play this. Maybe GOG can offer a fix, but until then, be aware that the multiplayer aspect is most likely off the table. Otherwise, this game is a definite must have and will give you many, many replayable hours (and days and weeks) of gaming.
