I'm writing this review to inform people that the game doesn't properly launch with more than 16 threads/cores in Windows. Disable Hyper Threading or similar in BIOS or use msconfig.exe to limit the maximum number of processors to 16.
What otherwise could be an excellent game is completely ruined by one of the worst random number generators I have ever seen. Loot is rare and finding the shop is even rarer. Or my copy of the game doesn't like me.
I miss playing this game. After more than ten years I still remember the tracks. I confirm that the GOG version works very well on Windows 7 x64, including the in-game videos. Better was if the game would run on 1080p or more. Playing 640x480 on a 4K monitor is not very handsome, but well, at least I was able to go to Watto's shop and take a look around his junk :)
