The game itself is not a bad adventure, characters are decent and the story is kinda quirky, However the experience stops there as the game is highly unstable, it may actually very well be the most unstable game I have ever played. It crashes ALOT, like 1/3 times you enter a new area (and there is always a loading screen when entering a new area on the map where is where it does freeze). The game either crashes, or freezes causing you a full restart as you cannot reach task manager or right-click the game in the taskbar to close it, it just stays frozen fullscreen. The game is not playable at all in its current condition.
Jack Orlando is released in a version called Jack Orlando Director's Cut which handles the sound problem, unfortunelately GOG has released the game in the version with the sound problem which renders in useless. The speech sound is so low it's impossible to catch the storyline. A very disappoiting download.
And was it really so that I actually never got around to playing this game? Wohoo - a perfect spell in the terrible world of Windows Vista! If you loved Monkey Island 1 & 2 this is definately the game for you, hours of fun and classic adventure game moments. Enjoy ~
