I love the QFG series. I first played in the early 2000s and I've re-played several times since then. I still enjoy and appreciate these games.
Another wonderful game in the QFG series
I have not commented on any visual novel before...heck, any GAME before! This is a phenomenal game. Just like any person buying a goes suggesting nudity/sex, I was interested in what the adult themes were like... and I was not disappointed. That alone would have been great for me. There is blantant, graphic sex scenes that were well rendered and fit the line of the story perfectly. But that is not why the review is so positive. I found my self bypassing most of those scenes quickly in order to proceed to the next part of the story. This is a HELL of a story too. If you are not hit in the feels multiple times through the second half of the game, you are just not human. Even my wife found this moving and intriguing. This is by far and away the best visual novel I have ever played that approached the very real and very harsh aspects of depression. I was so caught up in this that I played from chapter three through 8 in one sitting. It is an amazing and mind blowing game. I chose based on looks initially, wanting to find out about Lexi from the very start of the game but as I played, I leaned more towards someone I related to more, Cece. Someone that was very much like another person I know irl. As the game progressed, Cece became the love of my main character. Trust me, this is a game where you will want to play multiple playthroughs but you will want Cece at one point. It is important (imo) that she be a main love interest for your MC as it will help you see and understand the story so much more. Kudos, Applause, Hoot, Hollar, Standing Ovation, etc... to Drifty for making a game that is exactly what it appears to be and then so, SO much more! I came away from this game after a play through with the feeling that I made so many friends and learned so much from them! The ONLY thing that could have made this better is if it had voice over. But I am not complaining at all at the lack of it. The music was great as is!
